Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions shall apply to all orders placed with SK Dental Lab. All terms and conditions are subject to change at any time and will be published on our website at skdentallab.com.au. Any orders or instructions received by SK Dental Lab shall be construed as acceptance of these terms and conditions for the supply of goods and services provided by SK Dental Lab. Upon acceptance of these terms and conditions by the customer, they become binding and can only be amended with the written consent of SK Dental Lab.
Terms and Conditions
- These are the terms and conditions of Genie Trading Australia Pty Ltd, trading as SK Dental Lab.
- Prices are subject to change without notice at the sole discretion of SK Dental Lab.
- Prices quoted are exclusive of any Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other applicable taxes.
- Invoices are due in full on the 10th of the statement month. Statements are sent on the 1st of each calendar month.
- Overdue balances will incur interest of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowable by law.
- SK Dental Lab accepts payment via credit card and direct deposit.
- All credit cards accepted. 1.7% + A$0.30 surcharge for domestic cards and 3.5% + A$0.30 surcharge for international cards.
- Credit card surcharges may change at any time.
- SK Dental Lab reserves the right to hold casework if the customer’s account falls overdue.
- SK Dental Lab may provide credit to the customer but reserves the right to request payment in advance.
- Credit can be withdrawn by SK Dental Lab at any time.
- If accounts are not paid in full, SK Dental Lab reserves the right to take action to recover any unpaid amounts, including interest (if applicable). The customer agrees to indemnify SK Dental Lab for any and all costs incurred in the recovery of unpaid amounts, including but not limited to debt collection costs, legal fees, and court costs.
- Any product supplied by SK Dental Lab remains the property of SK Dental Lab until payment is received in full. The customer agrees to return any unpaid product upon request.
Collection and Delivery
- SK Dental Lab provides a courier service to and from our laboratory.
- Shipping fees vary by location and the type of shipping service required.
- Customers can request a shipping cost quotation when opening an account.
- SK Dental Lab takes no responsibility for work that is damaged, delayed, or lost in transit.
- The customer is responsible for packaging casework securely for safe transit to SK Dental Lab.
- The customer must ensure their premises are accessible and open for couriers to collect casework.
- Any costs arising from a failed collection due to unprepared casework or closed premises after a collection request will be borne by the customer.
Turnaround Time
- Normal turnaround times for casework range between 5 and 10 in-lab days, depending on the product, assuming all required materials and information are provided at the time of case submission.
- If SK Dental Lab requests additional information from the customer, delays may occur if responses are not provided in a timely manner.
- If SK Dental Lab requests new impressions or materials, delays will occur.
- Cases may take longer than the standard turnaround time if technical queries arise, problems need to be discussed, or if customer-requested photographs are required.
- Complex and implant cases may take longer to manufacture.
- Casework may exceed 10 in-lab days due to factors beyond SK Dental Lab’s control.
Medical Advice
- SK Dental Lab discusses the sale, delivery, and properties of goods with customers via email, telephone, WhatsApp, and in person.
- The customer acknowledges that such discussions are limited to product properties and characteristics and do not constitute representation, recommendation, advice, or warranty by SK Dental Lab.
- SK Dental Lab is not responsible for advising on the suitability of any product or treatment for any patient.
- The customer is responsible for determining the suitability of the work for the patient.
- SK Dental Lab is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of any restoration. Warranty and Guarantee
- SK Dental Lab offers a one-year warranty on fixed crown and bridge restorations from the date of dispatch.
- SK Dental Lab guarantees its work is defect-free, will fit the provided model, and is constructed according to the prescription form. Removable restorations, splints, and sleep devices have a one-year warranty from the date of dispatch.
- All other appliances are warranted for ninety days from the invoice date.
- SK Dental Lab will replace any product found defective due to the manufacturing process.
- Shipping costs for repairs or replacements will be invoiced to the customer unless a manufacturing defect is identified.
- Warranty is void for removable prosthetics made without a try-in/setup procedure.
- SK Dental Lab does not warrant that any device is fit for a specific purpose. If such a disclaimer is not permitted by law, any implied warranty is limited to ninety days from the invoice date.
- If SK Dental Lab requests a new impression but is instructed to proceed without it, the warranty shall be void. Remakes will be charged at full cost.
- The original restoration must be returned for inspection to be eligible for warranty claims.
- If a restoration is returned due to a major defect caused by SK Dental Lab and the customer does not wish to proceed with a new product, a credit or refund may be provided after discussion with SK Dental Lab. The warranty, guarantee, and refund policy do not override statutory warranties available under Australian Consumer Law (ACL). In case of conflict, ACL provisions will prevail.
Exclusions
The following are not covered under warranty:
- Cash refunds for any product.
- Costs incurred for removal or insertion of any product.
- Remakes due to accident, neglect, abuse, failure of supportive tooth or tissue structures, improper adjustments, or poor dental hygiene.
- Restorations partially or wholly fabricated by another laboratory.
Remake Policy
- Additional charges apply for semi- or high-noble metals used in remakes.
- New implant components required for a remake will incur additional charges.
- If SK Dental Lab determines that damage was not caused by the manufacturing process, the warranty may be voided.
- Overdue accounts must be settled before remake processing.
- SK Dental Lab reserves the right to charge 50–100% of the case value for remakes based on:
- Incomplete or unsatisfactory case materials provided, yet the customer opted to proceed.
- A change in the original shade or material.
- A remake request submitted more than 30 days after the invoice date.
- Immediate/surgical dentures requiring a remake.
- An appliance that fits the model but does not fit intraorally.
- Failure to return original materials or appliances.
- Unspecified reasons for a remake.
Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales (NSW).
- The parties’ consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts for any disputes arising from this agreement.
- In legal proceedings to enforce any provision, the prevailing party is entitled to recover reasonable litigation expenses, including attorney’s fees and costs.
